Mined and made in California, the California Gold Collection is an homage to the natural beauty and history of the Golden State. Crafted from natural California gold sourced from the few fully-permitted operations in the state and Bracken’s personal findings in the Yuba River, each piece is deeply stamped with a California Grizzly Bear hallmark guaranteeing its authenticity.

Our 20k alloy is distinguished by a greenish-gold hue characteristic of natural California placer gold and strong enough for long-term everyday wear.

Time spent exploring California mountain streams provided Todd Bracken with inspiration for this collection and a deep commitment to responsible mining practices, for which he has been officially recognized by the State Assembly of California.

Originally founded by Lester and Darlene Bracken in Illinois in 1950, Bracken Jewelers has been committed to craftsmanship, quality and customer service since the very beginning.

In 1984 Todd Bracken re-opened Bracken Jewelers on Santa Monica’s iconic 3rd Street Promenade. Here he and wife Diana operated the business for over 25 years, as a highly-reputable full-service jewelry operation with a devoted local following and a star-studded client list. And in 2006, the business moved to a more intimate by-appointment studio in Venice.

With daughter Rebecca recently joining the team, Bracken Jewelers is now a 3-generation family business.
